Description:
Calcium propionate is a calcium salt of propionic acid, used as a preservative in baked goods.

It inhibits the growth of mold, bacteria, and other microorganisms, extending the shelf life of bread, pastries, and other flour-based products without affecting flavor or texture. In addition to its food-grade application, it is also widely used in the feed industry as an effective mold inhibitor and acidifier to protect feed quality and animal health. For industrial purposes, it serves as a biocide in various formulations, offering reliable anti-mildew performance in non-food systems.
